Softball Recap: North Edgecombe Comes Up Short

North Edgecombe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Tarboro Vikings, falling 46-29. One positive for the Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

North Edgecombe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Edgecombe will welcome Southeast Halifax at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. North Edgecombe has given up an average of 28 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Tarboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bertie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
