Softball Game Preview: El Dorado Springs Bulldogs vs. Buffalo Bison

The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Buffalo Bison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

El Dorado Springs barely beat Strafford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 24-4 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, while Buffalo put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pleasant Hope. The Bison were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Pirates.

Buffalo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for El Dorado Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

El Dorado Springs suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Buffalo in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
