Football Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Sam Rayburn's offense. They were beaten by the Pearland Oilers 64-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 897th, while the Oilers are ranked 67th).

Pearland was led to victory by Ja'Maurey Champion and Royce Swan. Champion rushed for 61 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, while Swan rushed for 54 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. Jordan Hernandez also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sam Rayburn fell to 2-1. As for Pearland, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
