Football Game Preview: Whitefield Academy WolfPack vs. Landmark Christian War Eagles

Whitefield Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Landmark Christian since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The WolfPack will host the War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Landmark Christian will be up against a hot Whitefield Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The WolfPack claimed a resounding 42-8 victory over Business Engineering Science Tech. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the WolfPack's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Eagles are ranked 444th).

Whitefield Academy can attribute much of their success to Mason Hollingsworth, who gained 119 total yards and two touchdowns, and Landon Ryan, who threw for 137 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Ryan a new career-high in passer rating (158.6).

Whitefield Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of John Durden and Miller Plyer.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Landmark Christian). They blew past Walker 53-7 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-0.

Landmark Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Whitefield Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Whitefield Academy against Landmark Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 win. Will the WolfPack repeat their success, or do the War Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
