Basketball Recap: Graham/Dustin Comes Up Short

Graham/Dustin's tournament run continued when they took on Wapanucka on Saturday. The RiverHawk fell just short of the Indians by a score of 51-49. The RiverHawk have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Graham/Dustin lost, don't look at Isaiah Stout. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Stout's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bennett, who shot 75% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Graham/Dustin's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wapanucka, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Coming up, Graham/Dustin will head out to take on Indianola at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The RiverHawk will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.38 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wapanucka, they will be home for the holidays to greet Tupelo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
