Softball Recap: Tranquillity Comes Up Short

Tranquillity had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-9-1 to make it five. They lost 17-2 to the Mendota Aztecs. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Mendota, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11-1. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

For Mendota's part, Alexxa Tovar was incredible, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Another player making a difference was Griselda Ayala, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one double.

Tranquillity has already played their next contest (against Firebaugh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mendota, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Dos Palos on the 14th.
