Soccer Game Preview: East Lansing vs. DeWitt

The East Lansing Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the DeWitt Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

East Lansing's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Everett. Considering East Lansing's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, DeWitt made sure to put some goals up on the board against Okemos on Tuesday. They blew past Wolves 6-2. DeWitt might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by four goals or more this season.

East Lansing pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those five contests. As for DeWitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season.
