Helena posted their closest victory since April 19th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Chilton County Tigers 3-1. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Carrington Schiefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 26 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Macie Brashears, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Helena's victory bumped their record up to 31-15-2. As for Chilton County, their loss dropped their record down to 36-11-2.

Coming up, Helena will take on Rehobeth at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 3.7, the Rebels 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Chilton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
