Meanwhile, Southern Christian came up short against Heritage Christian on Tuesday and fell 8-5. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trey Chamberlin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jedd Scott, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Southern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Clay County Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
