Softball Recap: Cherokee's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

It's playoff time, and Cherokee had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the South Davidson Wildcats on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won five games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

The victory snapped Cherokee's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-8 record. As for South Davidson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Coming up, Cherokee will take on Piedmont Community Charter on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. South Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
