Softball Recap: Northern York Triumphs

Northern York proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warwick Warriors 2-1.

Sammy Magee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks.

At the plate, Northern York saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Northern York's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Northern York will face off against Berks Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warwick, they will challenge Dallastown at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
