Baseball Recap: Roseville Gets the Win

After losing to Vanden the last time they met, Roseville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Roseville Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vanden Vikings on Wednesday, sneaking past 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Austin Chang looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Gustus, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Jacob Welch was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Roseville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Vanden, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Roseville will take on Del Oro at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Vanden, they will square off against Christian Brothers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
