It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Joseph Regional had no problem doing just that on Friday. They managed a 25-21 win over the St. Peter's Prep Marauders. Winning may never get old, but the Green Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Nathan Bailey, who rushed for 103 yards and four TDs, and also picked up 73 receiving yards.
Bailey was just one part of a punishing run game: St. Joseph Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That's a new trend for the Green Knights: they were averaging 94.1 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 240.7.
St. Joseph Regional's record is now 9-2. As for St. Peter's Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
