Volleyball Recap: Pickerington North Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Pickerington North won the last time they faced Westerville Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Warhawks 3-0.

Pickerington North was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 25-23.

Pickerington North was led to victory by Paige Swisher and Alexa Thomas. Swisher had six digs and five aces, while Thomas had ten digs and three assists. Those five aces gave Swisher a new career-high. Makiaya Turner also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Pickerington North was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.

Pickerington North is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Westerville Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Pickerington North will be playing at home against Central Crossing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Westerville Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
