Baseball Game Preview: Tipton Tigers vs. Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks

Tipton hasn't had much luck against Mid-Prairie recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Golden Hawks at 5:00 p.m. This will be Tipton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Tipton came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Marquette. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since July 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, Mid-Prairie got themselves on the board against Highland on Friday, but Highland never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Huskies. The Golden Hawks haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mid-Prairie's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tipton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Tipton couldn't quite finish off Mid-Prairie when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
