Softball Recap: Bishop Ireton Takes a Loss

Bishop Ireton lost against Paul VI back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals lost 11-5 to the Panthers.

Bishop Ireton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ciara Funk, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Funk hit this season.

Bishop Ireton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Paul VI, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bishop Ireton will face off against rival Elizabeth Seton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Paul VI is set to square off against their familiar foe Bishop McNamara at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
