Recap: Elizabeth Minutemen vs. North Brunswick North Brunswick Raiders
The Elizabeth Minutemen waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past North Brunswick, posting a 72-39 win at home. That looming 72-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Elizabeth yet this season.
It was another big night for London Carson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Mcrae, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Elizabeth's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for North Brunswick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Elizabeth will be playing at home against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Elizabeth is ranked eighth). North Brunswick on the road again on Monday and play against Woodbridge at 5:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
