Volleyball Recap: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Providence Pioneers
Jeffersonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Providence Pioneers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Jeffersonville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Providence work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-7, 26-24.
Jeffersonville's offense was headlined by Lola Rodriquez and Jenna Kelley, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Riley Dobson and her 18 assists.
Jeffersonville's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Providence, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jeffersonville will host Bedford North Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Providence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
