Volleyball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

After flying high against Whitfield on Tuesday, St. Charles came back down to earth. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Winfield Warriors on Thursday. The Pirates have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15, 25-13.

Winfield found their leader in sophomore Aubree Schott, who had 15 assists and 11 digs. Schott is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Winfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, St. Charles will face off against Burroughs at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Winfield, they will take on Warrenton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
