Basketball Recap: St. Henry's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

St. Henry won against Fort Recovery last Monday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The St. Henry Redskins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 win over the Anna Rockets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redskins have posted since January 26, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Henry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Schwartz, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points and four steals. Brody Schwartz was another key player, going 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points.

St. Henry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 33 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

St. Henry's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Anna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Henry will venture away from home to face off against Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anna, they will head out to square off against Jackson Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson Center will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Anna surely won't give up without a fight.
