Basketball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech Gets the Win

Tampa Bay Tech hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost six straight) but thanks in part to Evan Clark that streak is no more. The Tampa Bay Tech Titans were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over the King Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Clark, who went 9 for 15 en route to 24 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Javon Russel was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rodney Smith, who went 5 for 12 en route to 11 points. Smith has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Malik Hammond, who posted six points and three steals.

Tampa Bay Tech's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for King, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Tampa Bay Tech has already played their next match (against Leto), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-43 defeat against Bloomingdale on the 15th.
