Baseball Game Preview: Pungo Christian Academy Raiders vs. Northeast Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Pungo Christian Academy will face off against Northeast Academy. Pungo Christian Academy will square off against Northeast Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Pungo Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over Northeast Academy.

Luke Alligood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on McKinney Waters, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Rylan Bowie was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Pungo Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northeast Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
