Baseball Recap: Mauldin Comes Up Short

Mauldin played against James F. Byrnes on Wednesday and lost via forfeit.

Tucker Rice made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Espino, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Mauldin has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for James F. Byrnes, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Mauldin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for James F. Byrnes, they will face off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
