Baseball Recap: Osakis Comes Up Short

Osakis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Minnewaska Area Lakers, falling 12-3. If the Silverstreaks were looking for revenge after losing 7-5 to the Lakers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Osakis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Staloch, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Osakis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Osakis is taking a road trip to face off against St. Cloud Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Minnewaska Area, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Melrose at 4:00 p.m. The game will give the Lakers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
