Lamar has gone a perfect 10-0 against Houston Math Science & Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Texans will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lamar has six straight victories, Houston Math Science & Tech has 18 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lamar's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over Bellaire. The Texans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Deverick Stone-Hubbard went supernova, rushing for 126 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another rusher making a difference was Kaze Bryant, who rushed for 29 yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lamar was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 199 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lamar's defense and their five sacks. Reggie Holland was especially locked on to Bellaire's QB and sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Cardinals' side was Khairi Kidd, who picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Houston Math Science & Tech's offense. They took a blow against Heights on Thursday, falling 69-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1199th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 596th).
Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
