Southeast Guilford has gone a perfect 10-0 against Grimsley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Southeast Guilford barely beat Eastern Guilford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Southeast Guilford's pitcher stepped up to hand Eastern Guilford a 14-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Cailynn Sockwell was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Maya Wilson, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3.

Sockwell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Southeast Guilford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Grimsley's offense. They came up short against Mount Tabor on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The Whirlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southeast Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Grimsley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Southeast Guilford took their win against Grimsley in their previous matchup on March 4th by a conclusive 23-0. Does Southeast Guilford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grimsley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
