Volleyball Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Centennial Bulldogs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Red Devils haven't been shut out since back in March.

Their offense was headlined by Jaeden Brown and Ryan Aguinaldo, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Sergio Salazar and his 17 assists.

Centennial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Ahlstrom, who had four digs and three aces. Kobe Tejada also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Centennial, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7.

Sweetwater didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Bishop Gorman on the 5th. As for Centennial, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on the 5th.
