Como-Pickton dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Honey Grove Warriors and fell 53-19. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 54-7 to the Warriors when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Honey Grove, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 33 points or more this season.

Leading Honey Grove to victory were Ryelan Morris and Jarrmez Daniels. Morris rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Daniels threw for 90 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. The dominant performance also gave Daniels a new career-high in passer rating (141.4). Lane Foster was in the mix as well, providing Honey Grove with one score.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Como-Pickton will face off against rival Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Honey Grove is set to take on their familiar foe Rivercrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
