Softball Recap: Ripon Tigers vs. Kewaskum Indians
After flying high against Berlin on Friday, Ripon came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Kewaskum Indians on Saturday, falling 16-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in April.
Ripon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Kwakkel, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Ripon has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Kewaskum, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Ripon will take on Princeton/Green Lake at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kewaskum, they will square off against Plymouth at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
