Softball Recap: Genoa Central Falls Short of Salem in the Playoffs

Genoa Central and Salem squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Genoa Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Dragons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Genoa Central's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Salem, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Genoa Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 loss against Harding Academy on the 17th.
