Baseball Recap: Valley Lutheran Comes Up Short

Valley Lutheran came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-0 to the Desert Heights Prep Yote. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Flames' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Valley Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Alvarez Juzaino, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Valley Lutheran's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Desert Heights Prep, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Lutheran will venture away from home to square off against San Manuel at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert Heights Prep, they will head out to challenge Antelope at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Antelope will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
