After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Kansas City, Winnetonka was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Grandview Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. While the Griffins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

Layla Maxwell paced Winnetonka's offense, picking up 13 kills. Maxwell got some help from Shayla Nguyen and her 85 assists.

Winnetonka is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 8-2-1 record this season. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Winnetonka will face off against Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grandview, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Raytown South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
