Soccer Game Preview: Lyons vs. Nazareth Academy

The Lyons Lions will face off against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lyons will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Lyons is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Proviso West get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Lyons considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Their offense was hitting Proviso West from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Quinn Conway led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy lost 5-2 to DePaul College Prep on Friday. Nazareth Academy were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Nazareth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for Lyons, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2-3.

Lyons beat Nazareth Academy 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Roadrunners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
