Baseball Recap: Cape Fear Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cape Fear Christian Academy lost against Village Christian Academy back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 8-3 to the Knights.

Cape Fear Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Burns, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Village Christian Academy, their record now sits at 9-4.

Coming up, Cape Fear Christian Academy will be playing at home against Lawrence Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Village Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against American Leadership Academy-Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
