Foster had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Memorial Mustangs 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won 14 games in a row.

Julia Kaspar spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emerson Lechler was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Julie Jacoby, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one double.

Foster pushed their record up to 22-6-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-6.

Looking ahead, Foster will face off against Clear Creek on Saturday. Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
