Softball Recap: Cumberland Valley Beats Mifflin County for Their Second Straight Win

Cumberland Valley won the last time they faced Mifflin County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Huskies a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cumberland Valley and bumps their season record up to 15-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Mifflin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-1 record this season.

Cumberland Valley will face off against Cedar Cliff at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mifflin County, they will challenge Williamsport at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
