After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Scotts Valley finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Everett Alvarez Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Taylor Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazzy Doubek, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Scotts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Everett Alvarez, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scotts Valley will host Aptos at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Everett Alvarez, they will challenge Milpitas at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
