Preview: Timberline Wolves vs. Owyhee Storm
Timberline has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Owyhee Storm at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Timberline faced Rocky Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Timberline fell just short of Rocky Mountain by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Timberline has suffered yet this season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Owyhee gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Borah 58-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Owyhee has posted since December 14, 2023.
Timberline's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Timberline came up short against Owyhee in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 47-43. Can Timberline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
