Volleyball Recap: Jackson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jackson entered their tilt with Western Reserve Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Pioneers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Polar Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Jackson was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-15.

Jackson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Paul, who had eight digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Paul a new career-high. Carter Carey also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Jackson couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 56.5% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Western Reserve Academy, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jackson will square off against rival Avon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Western Reserve Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Roosevelt at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers have a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while the Rough Riders will come in with three straight wins.
