It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Smith Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pyramid Lake Lakers by a score of 73-66. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rylen Patrick and Myron Rivers certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Patrick went 8 for 17 en route to 23 points and three steals, while Rivers posted 18 points. Patrick is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Hall, who put up seven points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Smith Valley pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Pyramid Lake, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Smith Valley will venture away from home to square off against Virginia City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Virginia City will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Smith Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pyramid Lake, they will host Mineral County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pyramid Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
