Basketball Recap: Goodrich Takes a Loss

Goodrich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Groveton Indians 55-16.

When it comes to explaining why Goodrich lost, don't look at Sky Wrightson. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points.

Groveton found their leader in sophomore Josiah Allen, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Torregrossa, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals.

Goodrich's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Groveton, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Goodrich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-19 defeat against Chester on the 14th. As for Groveton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-45 victory against Colmesneil on the 13th.
