Basketball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Wayne's Winning Streak

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Wayne couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 63-45 bruising from the Chapmanville Regional Tigers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 91-59 back in February.

Despite the loss, Wayne still got an impressive performance from Isaac Meddings, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 22 points and seven boards. Ronnie Staley was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 13 points.

Wayne moved to 17-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Chapmanville Regional, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
