Volleyball Recap: Anna Comes Up Short

Anna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Melissa Cardinals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Anna took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-23.

Anna's loss dropped their record down to 19-21. As for Melissa, they pushed their record up to 20-15 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anna is set to square off against their familiar foe Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Melissa will take on rival Denison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
