Volleyball Recap: South Granville Find Success + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Granville walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fike Golden Demons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since September 30, 2024.

South Granville took Fike into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 25-22, 23-25, 15-9.

South Granville can attribute much of their success to Larah Preddy, who had 18 digs and 16 assists. Those 18 digs gave Preddy a new career-high.

With the win, South Granville broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-16. As for Fike, they dropped their record down to 9-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, South Granville will venture away from home to challenge Cedar Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fike does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
