Baseball Recap: Pacific Ridge Falls Short of High Tech SD in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pacific Ridge can now relate to. They lost 17-1 to the High Tech SD Storm on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Firebirds have suffered since April 23rd.

Pacific Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cal Chivers, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Pacific Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for High Tech SD, they pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Pacific Ridge and High Tech SD will both be playing Coastal Academy the next time they take the field. The Firebirds will head out to face the Stingrays at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Storm will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
