Carlmont waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Half Moon Bay Cougars by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win two weeks ago.

Carlmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-15.

Carlmont's record now sits at 16-10. As for Half Moon Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.
