Volleyball Recap: Jonesport-Beals Royals vs. Calais Blue Devils

If Jonesport-Beals was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of George Stevens Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jonesport-Beals Royals came up short against the Calais Blue Devils on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12, 25-10.

Even though they lost, Jonesport-Beals was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive games.
