Baseball Recap: Royal Valley Comes Up Short

Royal Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-5 to the St. Marys Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Thursday.

Royal Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for St. Marys, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Royal Valley will challenge Silver Lake on Monday. As for St. Marys, they will head out to challenge Nemaha Central on Monday. The Thunder will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
