Baseball Recap: Grant Park Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cissna Park last Friday, Grant Park came back down to earth. The Dragons came up short against the Beecher Bobcats on Tuesday, falling 15-1. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Grant Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey McGinley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Grant Park's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Beecher, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Beecher Bobcats take on Herscher Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant Park will be paying especially close attention to Beecher's game: after Beecher faces off against Herscher, they'll take on Grant Park again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
