Recap: KIPP SF College Prep Phoenix vs. Marshall Phoenix

The KIPP SF College Prep Phoenix had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top against Marshall by a score of 52-42. That's another feather in the cap for KIPP SF College Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Several Phoenix players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Martel Peters, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Peters hasn't dropped below four steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorge Aceves, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.

KIPP SF College Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
